Art is a place for children to learn to trust their ideas, themselves, and to explore what is possible." - Maryann Kohl

About Me

Welcome to my Preschool through Eighth Grade Art Education Portfolio. On this site you will discover who I am as an educator and artist. You will find documentation of my art education teaching experiences and student work samples. Also included are my resume, teaching philosophy, classroom management plan, my artwork, and extracurriculars.

My name is Elizabeth Letellier and I am a Northern Illinois University 2010 graduate. I received my Bachelor of Science and my Illinois teaching licensure in K-9 Elementary Education. I then pursued my Masters in Urban Education from National Louis University in 2015.

Throughout my clinical, student teaching, and classroom teaching experiences, I always had a passion for art and being creative and incorporated it into my instruction. I am currently taking my last few art classes and anticipate my elementary art endorsement in June of 2020.  I love painting and ceramics, as well as the outdoors, biking, baking and spending time with my husband and dog Mimi.

For the past four years I have been teaching Visual Arts to preschool through eighth graders at a private school. Through this experience I have improved my craft of instruction as well as the assessment and differentiation for all of my students to be successful in and out of my classroom.

Thank you for visiting my site! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments!
